Tamica L. Clement Moore (Baylor), MS, CTRS

Tamica Clement Moore (Baylor) is the visionary founder and owner of Moore Recreation Therapy & Consulting Inc., a company dedicated to transforming lives through innovative recreation therapy services and expert consulting. With over 25 years of experience as a certified recreation therapist, Tamica is widely celebrated for her expertise in creating inclusive, adaptive programs that empower individuals of all abilities to thrive.

Tamica earned both her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Therapeutic Recreation & Leisure Services from Southern University A&M College. As a sought-after speaker and educator, she combines her extensive knowledge with an unwavering passion for advocacy, driving the ongoing success of Moore Recreation Therapy & Consulting Inc. Her dedication to fostering adaptive and inclusive programming remains at the heart of her professional mission.

Beyond her career, Tamica is deeply committed to her family. She cherishes time spent with her husband and their four children, one of whom is diagnosed with Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Her love for adventure, self-improvement, and mental and physical wellness shapes not only her personal life but also her approach to recreation therapy. With a vibrant sense of humor and a heart for service, Tamica embodies her belief in recreation therapy as a lifestyle, making her a trailblazer in her field.

 Dr. Jamie Hoffman, Associate Professor at California State University, Sacramento. She has worked in municipal recreation, campus recreation, non-profits, Veterans Affairs and for-profit businesses throughout her career serving various populations utilizing adaptive recreation and sports supporting inclusive practices. She has created policies and procedures, provided staff training, published evidence-based practice and research, as well as assessed and implemented programming throughout the world. Dr. Hoffman has presented her research and provided training, education and program delivery within California, across the U.S., as well as internationally in Tahiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Indonesia, and Fiji.

I am Sharmayne Whitehead, MS, CTRS, a dedicated and compassionate GS-11 Recreational Therapist with extensive experience in providing intensive case management services and creating individualized treatment plans that promote cognitive, emotional, physical, and social well-being. I have a proven track record of collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, evidence-based recreational therapy interventions. My work consistently supports a wide range of diverse patient populations, including individuals living with PTSD, psychiatric conditions, and physical disabilities.


My approach to therapy is holistic and patient-centered, with a strong focus on enhancing quality of life and fostering independence through customized programs that address each individual's unique needs and goals. I am committed to using innovative, research-backed methods that not only engage patients but also support long-term health and wellness outcomes.

Academically, I hold a Master’s Degree in Recreation Administration with an emphasis in Recreation Therapy from California State University, Long Beach, and a Bachelor of Science in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Michigan University.


Throughout my career, I have been recognized for my professional excellence and contributions to the field. Notable accolades include the 2022 SFVA Superstar Award, the 2021 Graduate Dean’s List of University Scholars and Artists Award, and the 2021 Departmental Outstanding Project Award in Recreation and Leisure Studies. I have also contributed to the advancement of therapeutic recreation by serving as a speaker and presenter at major industry events, including the 2024 SFVA Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Virtual Conference, the 2024 Central California Therapeutic Recreation Symposium, and the 2023 Therapeutic Recreation Symposium for the Southwest Post Symposium.

Sharmayne Whitehead

Veronica Rosales is a proud alumna of California State University, Sacramento with a degree in Recreation Therapy. Prior to entering the field of Recreation Therapy, Veronica served the Woodland Joint Unified School District as a Paraprofessional II, gaining experience in working with children with Autism. She currently works as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist at AbilityPath, a non-profit agency located in the Bay Area serving adults with developmental disabilities. Veronica has served for the Bay Area Therapeutic Recreation Association for 4 years, including as President in 2024, where her board was awarded Chapter of the Year by the American Therapeutic Recreation Association. Other recent accolades include California Park and Recreation Society’s recipient of the 2025 Play Award. For her own recreation and leisure, you can often find Veronica reading a good book, spending time with her friends and family, or at a Taylor Swift concert.

Myla is a dedicated high school senior with aspirations of pursuing a degree in business after graduation. Following college, she plans to attend beauty school to earn her cosmetology license, with a special focus on skincare.

Myla’s long-term goal is to own and operate her own full-service beauty salon that offers skincare, hair, and nail services. In her free time, Myla enjoys spending time with friends and family, shopping, watching movies, and experimenting with natural ingredients to create her own skincare products.

Her passion for beauty, working with others, and entrepreneurship makes her a motivated and creative addition to our team.
